At Tech Channel Ambassadors, our network of inspiring ambassadors visit schools to bring the world of tech to life. Through real stories and first-hand experiences, they are changing students lives by introducing them to the 'hidden' IT Channel.

Our goal is to highlight what's possible and to excite future generations of students about a range of career options where you can thrive, no matter your background.

The IT supply chain for tech solutions to UK industry, is a £180 billion industry. It's huge and it needs people with all kinds of skills ranging from problem-solving, being creative, helping others, working in teams or staying super organised, there's a place for everyone with jobs ranging from marketing, sales, and customer support to logistics, operations, and much much more. The majority of these roles do not need university degrees or IT/STEM qualifications.

And here's something really important:

We believe everyone should have the chance to explore a future in tech. That's why we focus on supporting students from all walks of life, especially those who may have fewer opportunities. This includes young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, those who are part of global majority communities, individuals who are disabled or neurodiverse, girls and young women, and LGBTQ+.

Right now, there's a big skills gap in the UK tech industry with over 100,000 jobs needing to be filled, and while many organisations have effective tactical recruitment plans, we need a cooperative industry wide strategic approach involving all stakeholders, to resolve this long-standing career recruitment challenge.
